Dieses Bier kommt mir etwas vollmundiger vor als das sehr einfache Cristal. Dennoch ist es recht lasch und könnte mehr Hopfen vertragen.

.355 bottle procured by Rune and shared at Beer Session XX 210512. Nicely designed bottle. Clear golden body, small white head but no lacing. Metallic aroma of hay, alcohol and the less than well kept urinals often found in generic dive bars. Flavour of grain is somewhat better than aroma, though overly sweet. Very strong carbonation does not help overall impression either. Almost drinkable on a hot summer day,

Shitty beer night. Golden colour clear with thin scum of white head. Aroma is fairly neutral, Agitate it and out comes sweetish grain and corn, but not obverty offensive. Flavour is subdued and crisp, with some oxidised toffee stuff happening. Palate is gassy watery prickles the tongue. Biting carbonation in the finish which dried it out. Not completely unpleasant. At least it is a cuba tick.

Can 21.05.12 @Beer Session. Thanks for sharing, Rune! Yellow body, smells like urinal, hay and tin can. Quite bland, sunflower, corn and alcohol. It might be okay on a warm and sunny day in Cuba, but on a cold day in the end of May in Tromsø it’s not. The design is cool, though!

Bottle shared at THT July massive thanks to Deanso. Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma is massive metal. Arrrr, this is just awful. Can’t handle more than a mouthful.

Bottle at the Deanso’s monthly RB tasting, July 2013. Poured a crystal clear light yellow with a glass hugging white head. The aroma is malty leading to a weak bitter flavour with a little malt and a whole lot of water. If I was dying of thirst I’d probably drink it. I can’t think of any other reason!

Bottle. Pours clear pale golden with small, airy white head. Clear aroma of yeast and skunk with a faint hoppy note. Bitter, hoppy flavour, giving way to pronounced notes of skunk and cardboard. I do not like this type of beer, and Cubanero is not any exception to this rule.

Bottle, 5.4%. Citric and grainy aroma. Clear golden colour. Small stable white head. The flavour is watery at first, turns a little grainy. OK finish, probably mostly because of the slightly higher than standard pale lager ABV.

Bottle brought home from Cuba by friends. Clear yellow colour with a small off-white head. Malty aroma. Light to medium body, medium carbonation. Rerated following holiday in Cuba, sampled a number of these and it’s quite poor compared to a number of the others, metallic (even from bottles), skunky aroma, too watery and more highly carbonated.
