Bottle sample at a tasting at Dagan’s place. Thanks Tomer G. Bottle #1081. Clear deep golden. Aroma of alcohol, malt and smoked bonfire potatoes. Sweet malty flavor with some fruitiness, some smoke and caramel. Fatty, slightly syrupy body. A bit interesting, but not great.

Bottle. Clear golden with a small white head. This was a strange beer, hard to describe. It was sweet with notes of alcohol, also ash, toffee and malt. Far from the best one from BrewDog.

Bottle # 5729, bought from Kihoskh. Poured clear golden with a white head. Very good looking. Aroma is old coffee filters, toffee and sweetness. Flavor is quite a mess, cold coffee, caramel, very sweet and oily. Alcohol pushing through a lot in the finish as well.

375 ml bottle @ Patricks. Clear, dark golden body with a small and fast disappearing off-white head. Aroma has dry fruit, raisins, honey, yeast and alcohol. Flavor is quite sweet malty, dry fruit, honey, caramel and warming alcohol. Full body and strong aftertaste. Somehow nice, and at least interesting. A lot of different flavors here, might not be exactly balanced, the bitterness feels almost a bit harsh and overall the beer is too sweet. Interesting but a bit over the edge for me.

Bottle at Omhper’s - Amber in colour. Roasted aroma with notes of nuts and malt. Roasted and fairly warming taste with notes of roasted malt, dried apricot and sultanas. Not too impressive.

Bottled. Clear amber, no head. Aroma of coffee and chili. Very sweet with full body and viscous mouthfeel. Lots of syrup as well as honey, ash and chili. Low bitterness. A big beer with unusual flavours, way too much sugar and not a whole lot of balance or finesse.

(Bottle, 0.375 l - #1874, at Oluttupa Viisi Penniä, 20120303) The beer poured clear and amber. Its head was small and white. Aroma had solvent, hops and malts. Palate was medium bodied, warming and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, saltiness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was salty and bitter. Quite weird and too much solvent-like.

Bottle, at Patricks. It pours a clear dark amber colored body under a small, dense, off-white head. Caramel maltyness, some alcohol and vanilla and a touch of cocoa on the nose. Hop notes too. Full-bodied, lightly warming and soft on the carbonation. Dried fruits, alcohol, caramel, some cocoa and hoppy bitterness, as well as some spiced notes. Lasting finish. Sure a nice one, especially like the cocoa like touch. Rating: 8-4-7-4-15-3.8. 120301

Bottle, 375cl corked. It pours a very dark brown body, topped by a nice, beige head leaving some lacings. Roasted malts tending towards butterscotch, cocoa covered praline, some alcohol, a touch of coffee, dark chocolate, coconut and sugar on the nose. The flavor has licorice, roasted malts, alcohol, some cocoa and bitterness. Full-bodied, warming and maybe a bit low on carbonation. Warming finish. A beer with a wonderful aroma, a tad too sweet flavor, and overall a bit too much warmth, but damn fine anyway. 120317
