Our Grand Prestige, brewed with four different malts, is also described as barley wine. In the ripe, full taste, bitter and sweet are remarkably well-distinguishable. The taste of Hertog Jan Grand Prestige is appreciated by connoisseurs and enthusiasts far beyond our borders, as proven by, among other things, the golden awards at various renowned beer competitions. As Grand Prestige is stored for longer, that wonderful taste develops even further. After a few years, the taste is reminiscent of a beautiful old port wine.

50cl bottle, 2021 vintage. Pours black, with fine cream foam. Aroma is malty, caramel, molasses, dried figs. Body is fairly full, with average carbonation. Taste is pretty sweet. Final is elegant.

Sehr mächtiges Bier in kleiner Flasche. Im Trunk Rosinen, leichte Frucht, dazu Röstaromen. Trappistig, bisschen Schoko dazu, Rum, passt.
