(Draught at Kernel Brewery, Bermondsey, London, 27 Apr 2013) Hazy golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of citrus, peaches, grass, bread and pineapple. Fruity, hoppy taste with citrus, grass, pineapple, passion fruit, bready malt and a generous citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, quite dry. Tasty and refreshing, with a very fresh hop character. Nice one.

33cl bottle from AlesByMail. Bottled on 25/03/13. Poured hazy amber with a soapy, but lasting white head. Sweet pineapple, hoppy aroma with some citrus and floral notes. Fresh and inviting. Flavor has pineapple and grapefruit, biscuity maltyness in the back. Finish is very bitter and quite long. Quite thin but oh so tasty. This is how an APA should be according to my tastebuds at least.

330ml bottle [5.5% abv]. Cloudy golden colour with small to average, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, white head. Intense fruity hoppy aroma with notes of passion fruit, pineapple, citrus. Taste is minimally sweet fruity, citrusy, notes of orange, mango, lemon, no bitter notes from the hop until to the finish. This is almost like drinking juice from exotic orange fruits.

Pours dark orange with a foamy head. Aroma of fruity hops, lemon, citrus. Taste is hoppy an fruity with zesty lemony notes. Finish is smooth, sweetish and fruity with hoppy notes. Nice, balanced and tasty pale ale. 8-4-8-3-15 = 3.8 Re-rated on 15.5.2015. Feels slightly more fresh than previously. Still very tasty, although a bit musty and stuffy.

Keg at the Euston Tap, 17/04/13. Murky golden amber with a thin off white head. Nose is mango, light pine, hops, orange, not the greatest nose if not the weakest I’ve experienced from a Kernel beer. Taste comprises hops, light pine, grass, mineral tones, orange pith, hint of grapefruit. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation, dryish in the the finish with light hop bitterness. Overall probably my least favourite offering I’ve had from Kernel thus far. Still very drinkable but not up to par with the high standards they’ve set.

Bottle (5.3% ABV) from Cork & Cask. Hazy pale golden body with a medium white head. Steady carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of pineapple, celery, honeydew melon and lemon sponge. Flavour of chocolate lime sweets, dried grass, pineapple and grapefruit. Medium body with a watery, slightly oily mouthfeel. Soft carbonation. Very juicy and drinkable - one of the best Kernel beers I’ve had. Galaxy is a sublime hop.

On tap @ Borefts 2012. This is a yellow-golden cloudy one with a thin small sidesticking white top. Somewhat mild on the nose with some fruity references. Citrus and marmalade with gelato. Quite nice even if it's definitely not extreme. The taste has a wonderful bitterness. Lemonade-like bitter with a slightly flour dry mouthfeel - something often found in these beers. Fruity and more citrus in the finish. Quite tasty again from the Kernel. 30.09.2012

On tap at the brewery with Sarah. Pours a near clear light gold with a tan head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has a nice earthy pine note with a hint of grapefruit and a bread backing. Flavor starts with grapefruit and earthy pine with a light grain and bread backing.
