Bottle at Xarcuteria, Stockholm. Dark brown with a large tan head. Aroma and taste of milk chocolate, light roasted malt, some fruit. The body was light and the fnish was dry. Drinkable but nothing special.

Pours ruby tinged mahogany into a tulip. Massive tan head with excellent retention recedes leaving no lacing. Dusty cocoa aromas. Sharp with sweet chocolate syrup upfront turning to mildly smoky mocha in the lasting finish.

Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours black with a creamy light tan head. Aromas of chocolate, light treacle. Med minus body. Flavor is chocolate, mildly treacle, then it goes all anise in a somewhat bitter finish. Sophisticated and refined.

Nose, is a lovely, mellow, milky coffee; just smelling it makes one feel relaxed. Taste is malty, lightly bitter, roast, slight coffee (though not as pronounced as in the nose) wood. Lactose finish which fades too soon. Mouthfeel is nice and full. Overall a very nice porter, with a delicious nose, and a well balanced taste.

Heavy dose of smoked peat in the flavour here. Almost unbalances the rest of the beer, although it makes for an interesting drink. Pours cloudy brown with sediment. Finishes a little smoky bitter. Lots of malt and a little dark chocolate. Bottle.

Bottle from Yamaichi. Roasty malt nose, coffee, dark chocolate / cocoa, berries, slightly meaty too. Solid nose. Shiny black with a tall, fine, tan head. Fruity, roasty flavor, lots of coffee, dry, burnt, woody finish. Meaty umami in there as well. Tangy, tart aspect to the finish. Rther stange. Dry, decent but far from great.
