Can from Pennsport. Near black pour, small scant head. Aroma is maple syrup, a bit of cinnamon. Taste brings more French toast flavors, but the porter base seems thin.

12 ounce can. Translucent cola brown color. Rocky tan head. Big cinnamon, maple, roasted malt nose. Light roasted malt flavor hints and maple and spices. Thin, watery body for a Porter. Tasted like a maple Root Beer.

12 ounce can into pint glass; no can dating, but was released recently. Pours clear very dark reddish brown color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, maple syrup, caramel, milk chocolate, fudge, cream, brown sugar, and toasted brown bread; with light coffee, herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt, maple syrup, lactose/spices, and light earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, maple syrup, caramel, milk chocolate, fudge, cream, brown sugar, and toasted brown bread; with light coffee, herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Light herbal/roast bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, maple syrup, caramel, milk chocolate, fudge, cream, brown sugar, brown bread, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, maple syrup, lactose/spices, and light earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Minimal dryness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready, and slightly silky/sticky mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6%. Overall this is an awesome spiced American porter! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, maple syrup, lactose/spices, and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to drink. Great spice balance and very dessert-like for a porter; never overly sweet or roasty. Great mouthfeel from the lactose. A really enjoyable offering.

Such an intresting concept beer, and good! It has all the typical porter aspects id expect. It is a bit watery overall. Enjoying it with a fried plantain, and it is delicious! Maple distinct on the finish. 12 oz can.
