Draught at Gambrinus, 11/16/17.
Moderately hazy, straw, pale-golden body is well-carbonated, showing a small, but firm white head atop.
Zesty, herbal-tinged hops quickly burst forth showing meyer lemon, juicy pineapple and very light grapefruit that keeps it very bright, "dry" and highly aromatic. Hints of honey further deepen the juicy appeal while light cracker is the extent of the malt left lingering on the finish that is replete with more nectarine, pineapple and juicy citrus. No alcohol or resin whatsoever.
Clearly the hops here are in fantastic shape and were utilized wonderfully. Fresh, soft, lemon-mango-lime and zesty, dry grapefruit flood the palate, while tight, careful carbonation distributes its perfectly. Snappy finish, with help from well-attenuated, cracker-like malts and no resin or alcohol to speak of in flavor, either. Juiciness lingers lovingly. Elegant and highly drinkable stuff.
