The amber-coloured specialty beer Troubadour Magma has the aromatic and hoppy-bitter character of an American Indian Pale Ale, but is softened by the fruitiness of a Belgian Tripel. Enthusiasts appreciate the explosion of fruity scents from dry hopping.

F: huge off-white, lasting. C: orange to amber, a little hazy. A: great citrusy/grapefruit, pine resin, tropical fruity, malt and yeast. T: 0,33l bottle from De Hopduvel in Gent, aroma is better than the taste,malty, orange, spicy, coriander, decent grassy bitterness surprisingly, nice fruitiness, even some butter tones, sure not typical IIPA but all together quite balanced beer, and I like the Czech hops in, so great for me.

Backlog. Bottle shared with JMD at HNB 11.05.13. Orange golden. Fine head. Aroma of sweet oranges and orange marmalade. First taste is grapefruit, then orange, tropical fruits and peach. Bitterness, orange and tropical fruits in aftertaste. Appropriately lively mouthfeel. Good drinkability.

Ambar anaranjada de preciosa espuma abundante, densa y cremosa. Rico aroma acaramelado, naranja, piña. En boca es super agradable, de textura suave y cremosa y un excelente punto de gas. Y el sabor rico, de predominio dulce, caramelo, y equilibrio frutal, con notas de naranja y piña, como antipaba el aroma. Cuerpo potente. Excelente. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Moeder St-Gilles. Troubadour Magma 9% is a deep clear still gold with a rich fruity full malt character. It’s got a sweet and hoppy aroma. A bit boozy, sweetly malty, with notes of alcohol heat, pine & candied citrus. A nice double IPA .

Bottle at Monks Cafe Wallingatan. A bit hazy dark golden with a medium head. Sweet with hops, grapefruit, light pineapple, some hay, malt and light yeast. The body was almost full and the bitterness medium.
