The amber-coloured specialty beer Troubadour Magma has the aromatic and hoppy-bitter character of an American Indian Pale Ale, but is softened by the fruitiness of a Belgian Tripel. Enthusiasts appreciate the explosion of fruity scents from dry hopping.

Flarra. Gyllene dryck som i färgen påminner om Oppigpård thurbo. Doftar underbart Maltigt , persika, lite svagt av blött gräs. Smakar då? Massor av skumbanan . Lite väl kanske mycket av just skumbananen. Svag syrlighet framkommer i eftersmaken liksom också mjölkchoklad? Jo det är sant. Betyg då ?? Mycket annorlunda Dipa dock inte i min stil.

Bottle at home in London - sourced from the merchants of beer. Pours lightly hazed, rich orange-gold with a large, creamy off-white head. Robust dried citrus fruits in the nose, some pine, floral hops, suggestions of alcohol, pale bread. Medium sweet flavour with sturdy alcohol boost, mellow piney bitterness, dry pale bread, orange rind, tangerine. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Warming on the finish, lightly resinous, with ripe citrus fruits, notable booze, bready pale malts, restrained sugars, minimal yeast expression. A bit of a beast, but enjoyable nonetheless.

On tap at Craft Room. Misty dark golden-amber honeyish body with a small white head. Citric aroma, caramel, peach/apricot, lovely and creamy. Taste... caramel, peach to apricot, a tad yeasty, quite well rounded, very fruity and juicy, ending bitterish and dry. Quite tasty and definitely a good beer that’s more of a Belgian with an US twist than an IPA with a Belgian twist.

Bottle. Tastes old. Not at all as good as it is fresh. UK distributors suck.

Hazy, amber-orange colored, medium creamy off white head, nice lacing and good lasting. Aroma is some caramel, very fruity, watermelon, citrus, bit yeasty. Taste is medium sweet caramel malt, bit brewing sugar, medium hoppy aroma of citrus, watermelon, tropical fruity, bit spicy and some Belgian yeast, moderate bitterness. Medium+ bodied, soft carbonation, oily. (bottle, Staminee Den Boulevard, Kortrijk)

Excellent. For a big beer, it's very well-balanced and easy to drink.
