Bottle. It’s a more or less clear beer, amber in color and topped by a dense, finger-thick beige head leaving some lacings. Nutty, toffee-ish aroma with a touch of dried fruits. Some spicy notes too. Full-bodied and medium sweet on the palate, some alcohol warmth, especially towards the end. Toffee, nuts, caramelized apples and some peppery, citrusy hops. A little bitterness too. The finish is rather short, fruity and citrusy with some peppery notes and toffee. This is not my idea of an old ale, but it’s quite nice anyway. 101016

Bottle: Copper coloured, a bit unclear, small stable off-white head; traces of raisins in the sweet toasty and delicate hoppy nose; moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied; lingering sweet-fruity and dry hoppy finish. Quite good, but should be better rounded........

50cl Bottle. Pours amber with a small creamy white head. Nose is very malty. Toffee and caramel. Medium bodied. Flavor adds a bit of grain and perfume. Dry end. Needs some vinousness to become a really good old ale.

A beer with a very fruity aroma and an amber color with a small lasting light brown head. The flavor is rather bitter with notes of oranges, peach, yeast and lots of aroma hops. It has a dry end.
