The Lupulus Hibernatus is a dark strong beer. At the end of the boiling, the brewers add a pinch of cinnamon. The mix with torrefied barley brings this beer a powerful character. The After-taste is at the same time bitter-sweet, and finish on coffee aromas.

Vestjysk Vinter Vanvid januar 2014. Dark brown with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of caramel, chocolate, dried fruit and yeast. Sweet malty flavour with caramel and chocolate, and a hint of coffee. A touch of alcohol and a quite hoppy finish

Bottle @ Fynsk Brunsviger er kommet til Ulfborg for at blive , som streger i dine hvide underbukser. Day 2. Pours unclear dark brown with a creamy head. Caramel, yeast, dark fruit and a whiff of spices. Full bodied. Tasty and well made.

Dark color, almost black, with medium sized compact head. Some dark chocolate and roasted malt aroma, light spices, light wood. Smooth, full bodied, with good chocolate flavor, light liquorice, delicate spices, chestnut honey. Correct bitterness.
A very fine Belgian beer.

Bottle, 9%. Fruity and slightly roasted aroma. Black colour. Seems clear and sparkling. Small stable light brown head. The flavour is sweetish and vinous. Roasted with a salt liquorice note. Drier finish. Quite high carbonation, needs some sloshing.

75 cl bottle. Pours hazy brown with a huge tan head. Aroma is roasted malty and breadish. Mild fruity, toasted malty and chocolate to caramelish. Mild yeasty, fruity and caramelish. Phenolic and light bitter dry finish.

Bottle at the Essen OBER Kerstbierfestival 2013. Poured a deep mahogany with a thin off white tan head. The aroma is light yeast malt. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with a big bubbly CO2 inspired yeast alcohol bitter palate. Medium bodied with lively carbonation.
