Two names that elicit adoration by a worthy few, with a storied history of unapologetically flummoxing less refined palates. Jägermeister hails from Wolfenbüttel, Germany while Arrogant Consorita’s European headquarters are in nearby Berlin. In other words, this collaboration was as inevitable as it is incorrigible.

Bottle. Goodness, actually not bad. Amber in color with a every so light haze. Two finger head. Aroma was hints of aromatic herbs and hoppy. Taste was like someone dropping a shot glass of Jagermeister into a bomber of Arrogant Bastard.

A big bottle at Goblet Beer Store. Thanks for the sip Hazy amber, oily, minimal head Herbal liqueur or herbal candy. Sugar. Citrusy, zesty, dried orange. Herbs dominate. Soft malt profile. No hops. Thin, bitter. Spices, cinnamon, some alcohol. Bitter finish. Herbal bitterness. A nice Jägermeister presence.

Great herbal beginning. Deep with a nice and and deep herbal aroma. Much more dry than Jägermeister - more like Underberg with beer. Fascinating, deep and lots of dry herbs. Great stuff! Absolutely deep and herbal complex.

Bottle share at Goblet. Courtesy of good people. Deep orange to amber, small white head. Malty, lots of herbs, spicy, somewhat unpleasant, thin, herbal bitterness in finish. A mess.

Intensiver Anisgeruch. 10/8/8/10/13/9

Bottled 750ml. -at Goblet Zagreb, thanks Vran. Amber coloured, small off-white head, herbs and whiff of pet food in the nose. Unbalanced dry herbal taste. Harsh and not so easy to drink. Fake or cheap Jägermeister taste. Glad to try it but no thanks again.

The Aromas are very much dominated by jagermeister with a hint of caramel malt. Flavors are like nose, sweet up front with a long lingering bitter finish okay body with the bitter getting in the way. Way too much Jagermeister. I think somebody said to The Brewery in Berlin that hey everybody knows the Germans love jagermeister so let's make a Jagermeister beer. Somebody got Hoodwinked.

Allow me to retort: Jager through and through, with an unbearable amount of star anise overpowering every other aspect of the beer. Add a little honey and you’ve got fizzy Zarbee’s cough syrup. Intriguing, unique, remarkable, and absolutely undrinkable.
