Bottle, 2019.Color: Hazy orange amber, fast disappearring white head, a lot of tiny carbonation bubbles ascending to the top of the glass. Aroma: Tart, fruity. Taste: Over medium sour, tart, sour white currant, some fruity over moderate sweetness too. Some vinuous and tannic (red) wine notes, mostly at the finish. Prickling carbonation, a little too much for this kind of beer.. Oak wood. Tannins, dry-ish mouthfeel. Medium body. Sour fruity finish. Ok, but in my opinion it's lacking balance, compared with similar beers from other brewers such as, for example Tommie Sjef and Methode Goat. I was expecting more from this pretty expensive beer. Edit: It's getting a bti better when the sediment is poured into the glass and the beer is standing for a longer time and after some rolling. Stronger tannic red wine notes, somewhat better balanced, some stone-fruit notes. Still substandard, compared with the big names. Rating is after this edit.
