A pretty good lager, some sweetness from the alchohol, and also some bitterness, even some flowery notes. Amber in color with a white head.

Jan 2008 from BA: Small green 275ml bottle, well in date and poured into my Corsendonk tulip glass. Good deep golden colour with a solid white head, it looked like a strong lager should, darker than a normal lager and meatier looking. Not a huge aroma, alcohol esters and a little malt, it gets my normal 3.0 score for lager smells. The alcohol hits the tastebuds first and wont let go, if there is something else to discover I failed to find it. It isn’t really ’a well balanced beer’ but it does have a presence that other strong lagers don’t seem to have. The metalic twang some produce isn’t here, nor the wet cardboard feel others have. Overall it didn’t quite win me over and I wouldn’t want a pint of it, the little bottle I had was enough. I did have a draught one years ago at a trade fair in Berlin but I can’t recall much about the day let alone which beers I enjoyed the most.

50cl can pours clear gold with thin white head. Is pretty estery with apple and pear sweet hard candy as well as a light touch of chemical booze. The taste is straight up sweet sugary pilsner like malts mixing with modest amounts of spicy and floral hops. I also get a slight creamed corn sense now and then. To midway it picks up plenty of apple and pear like sweet fruity esters. The finish as a slight improvement on the sweet onslaught as a bit of grainy malts is noticed. Bolder spicy hops to create better balance and I think I would enjoy this.

Clear golden color, vast white head, lacing. Nice rough pilsener smell, I like it. Good full flavor in the taste, though a little bit watery texture. Nice beer, but too bad about the body. Little bit too watery though the carbo and ABV are nice.
