Did we choose the name Elephant to honour the statues that guard our brewery gates, or because it's a beer you'll remember forever? Pale gold in colour, Elephant is rich in malty character, with a hint of caramel, balanced by a satisfyingly dry bitterness. Once enjoyed, never forgotten!

Gold pour. Even lace thin foam. Malt notes with sweet notes of hops. Nice beer. Medium carbonation. Medium bodied.

Heller Bock mit 7,5 % Alk. und angeblich 16 % Stammwürze. Damit handelt es sich um die Exportversion, das original in Dänemark erhältliche Bier kommt mit nur 7,2 % Alk. Export ist auch allgemein das Stichwort bei diesem Bier. Der Geruch erinnert an ein frisch hopfiges Export, auch geschmacklich geht das stark in die Richtung. Man merkt aber schnell, dass das etwas malzig-süßer und deutlich gehaltvoller ist. Das Bier hat eine schöne Konsistenz. Der Hopfen spielt immer eine Rolle, fruchtige Nuancen lassen sich erahnen.

Ja, das ist ein ganz schön plädderiches Bier, aber besser als das normale Carlsberg und weniger schlimm, als ich es erwartet hab. Ziemlich künstlich süß in der Nase, im Trunk süß, künstlich, Alkohol, aber irgendwas zeckt mich an, so dass ich es nicht fürchterlich finde.

12oz bottle from Consumers Beverage. Brassy colored pour, foamy head. Malty aroma, light vegetal notes. Malts dominate the taste also, slick feel. Way back in the day (1980ish), this one of the beers that introduced me to a style other than pale lager
