75 cl. bottle poured in to a trappist glass. Clear, amber colour with a small, dense lightly tanned head. Sweet aroma with dried fruits, light yeasts, licorice, spices - nutmeg, oranges, cinnamon and caramel mats. Taste is sweet. Medium body - rather light for a 9 % abv. - creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes sweet and spicy with exotic fruits and a sting of alcohol. Apart from the booze - a nice Belgian winter warmer.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with airy light beige head. Clear aroma of malt, caramel and fruit, with notes of cinnamon and cloves. Sweet, malty and caramellish flavour, with notes cinnamon and fruit and, above all, alcohol. Irregular bitter notes, the origin of which I am rather uncertain of (alcohol? metal?). Sweetish aftertaste with a note of liquorice. OK but not perfectly balanced and excessively boozy.

Nice tangy, sour aroma and taste to this winter beer. Not much of a head to speak of, caramel/copper color with faint carbonation. Sour palate, taste of caramel and toffee. No alcohol burn apparent. A real winter warmer.

750 ml. Deep amber body. Frothy, off-white head, slowly diminishing. Aroma of spice, nutmeg, cinnamon, toasted grain, alcohol. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Thin to medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation. Tastes like spice-infused water with some hot alcohol. Unrefined. Overly spiced.

Sample at Buckeye Beer Engine. The beer pours a dark reddish-brown color with a medium light beige head that diminishes steadily to a film. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of malt, yeast and fruit. Medium to full body with flavors of dark fruit, earthy yeast and malt. The finish is fruity with a yeast aftertaste. Decent overall.
