On tap at Luppolo, pours black with a small brown head. Nose is full of molasses, with some dark fruit and gentle roast. Flavour is robust, full of hearty roasted malt, ample hops, deep molasses, and a hint of dark fruits. Roasty and chocolatey. Beautiful stuff—much improved on the original incarnation a couple years back.

Dark fruit and lots of nice roast. Jet black brown with a rich small brown head. Bitter, molasses and dark fruit. Classic and well done.

Dark brown, thin head. Deep smoky roasty notes, with fruit notes. Moderate bitterness for style. Very well-balanced.

Black colour, small brown head. Dominated by dark chocolate and cocoa nibs, not very sweet, but with smooth mouthfeel, hint of leather in the nose, roasted nuts in the finish, a bit ashy.
Very good.

Taster. 3 days back. Appearance: dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: roasted malts and seeds, some grassy notes. Taste: along the same lines, quite roasty, black chocolate notes. Overall: pretty good.
