Poolside Hefe is a suntanners dream. Boasting gobs of classic banana flavour. This traditional Bavarian Hefeweizen is made up of 50% German wheat and a blend of German pilsner malts. Full-bodied, with clove, earthy spice and subtle notes of vanilla and tangerine citrus. You won't mind basking in it all summer.

On tap at ABC, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma is full of estery banana and plenty of clove. Flavour is estery as well, with clove and coriander. It's bubblegum-y and sweet. Not my kinda thing.

Weird perfumy wheat. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Wheat and lots of perfumy sweetness.

Hazy and pale. The malts are husky...not really showcasing the classic hefe sweetness, the phenols are ok, a bit of a more burnt wire note but also a light clove. Some definite faults but all told it could be worse.

Nice cloudy yellow body with big white foam on top. Very strong banana on the nose with correct sweetness. Flavour is more banana, sugary malts. Full mouthfeel. Quite nice, balanced, easy drinking, on target.
