Chocolate and dark malts. Deep jet brown with a rich beige head. Dark chocolate, cocoa and light roast. Soft and a bit of sweetness.

The aroma is too soft, sweet barley and oatmeal. Has good beige foam on a dark blackish body. Flavour is good sweet barley, chewy sugar on the back end. Mouthfeel is okay, sweet but muddy. An okay attempt but missing some soul and something to elevate it.

On nitro tap at Parallel 49, pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma brings out muffled dark cocoa, earthy notes, and toasted nuts. Flavour is earthy and muffled, with bitter cocoa, earthy soil-like notes, and toasted nuts. Quite muffled and lacking precision. More earthy than sweet and chocolatey. Not great.

Draught at the brewery
Dark brown colour. Mild, nutty, earthy chocolate, sweet.
Enough flavour strengrh, but simplistic.
