Troubadour Imperial Stout is a real Imperial Stout, but with a Belgian twist. The beer is almost black and has a solid crème coloured head. It is a powerful beer with strong roasted fragrances. You can taste notes of chocolate, toffee and coffee, followed by a bitter aftertaste.

330ml bottle. Pours an unclear red-brown with a large, creamy, long lasting, khaki head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, toffee, fig, earth and coffee. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, licorice, dark chocolate, toffee, fig, prune and light ash with a dry, bitter coffee finish. Medium body with a creamy, smooth texture and soft carbonation. Not bad.

0.1 l on tap at 'The Shakespeare'. Very dark brown to black with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty aroma of milk chocolate, licorice, hazelnut and some coffee. Quite sweet, malty, moderately roasty and a little fruity taste of milk chocolate, coffee, licorice, hazelnut and dried fruits, followed by a medium long, moderately roasty-bitter, slightly earthy and a bit yeasty finish with a touch of alcohol. Medium to full body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very nice!

Fles gedeeld met Roelzie1986. Het is een donker bruin bier met een dunne bruine schuimkraag. Het heeft een gebrande moutige geur. De smaak is moutig, gebrand en chocolade.

Aus der Flasche im 2018-01 getrunken. Hier halten sich die Röstnoten mit Schoko- und leichteren Mokkanote sehr gut balanciert zurück und machen dieses Stout sehr süffig.

330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken, ABV is 9%. Nearly black colour, large beige head. Vinous aroma, notes of raisins and other dark dried fruits, hints of oak, chocolate and tobacco. Light bodied and very drinkable for its strength and style. Roasty and vinous flavour, notes of roast malts, red wine, coffee, dark dried fruits, hints of chocolate.

Uit een flesje. Zeer donkerbruine kleur en een prachtig romig schuim, waar ik lekker in kon "happen". Zachte smaak, goede nasmaak, met uiteindelijk een bittertje. Uitstekend bier.
