Has dank clear gold body and minimal foam. Aroma is nice dank hops, vague spruce tip. Taste is more great dank hops, juicy, spruce tip accenting it all. Ends smooth with lingering spruce tip. Well balanced, very approachable.

2021 rating: Pale, with just a touch of haze. Thin head. Pretty massive spruce on the nose. Fairly bitter, again with lots of spruce. Definitely better than it was a couple of years ago. 2019 rating: Dullish, amberish...no head. Not inspiring confidence. Lots of spruce...i like that character but the base beer is a bit chewy and flabby to showcase it well. You need either a golden apa or a sweeter black beer to make spruce sing if you’re not going sour, which is really the best use. So not bad but the faults are conceptual and no amount of talent fixes that. 6-2-6-2-11 = 2.7

Sweet piney notes. Clearish gold with a decent white head. Sweet caramel and a perfumy pine note.

On tap at R & B, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is loaded with spruce, followed by bright piney hops, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour wonderfully blends the spruce and piney hops - damn, I don't think I've had such a good combination of spruce and IPA before. Really bright and tastefully done. Very good.
