Urthel Samaranth is a real authentic tasting beer according to the old Flemish brewing tradition. A dark specialty beer of 11.5% with a subtle soft-sweet taste, rich scents of dried fruit and a refined bitterness with a hint of chocolate in the after-taste. EBC 55.

Bottle. Brown sugar, raisin, caramel malt, and alcohol aroma. Cloudy brown with small head. Sweet raisin, brown sugar/toffee malt, and mildly bitter herbal hay/alcohol flavor. Nice body and balance. Very pleasant.

Bottle: (labeled as Quadrium Ale...11.0%) Pours cloudy light brown with a thin tan cap. Raisin, wood, caramel scent. Taste is sweet, caramel malt, dark fruit. Only a trace of noticeable alcohol. Amazingly smooth.

BOTTLE 33 CL. Hazy ruby-red with floaties, beige head. Vague fruity aroma with notes of molasses, dark bread, spice and a touch of alcohol. Taste: same fruit and dark malts, balanced by toasty/roasty bready notes, spice. Also, the relatively light „Belgian” body makes if feel more drinkable as opposed to more sticky. The alcohol is quite harsh vodka-like at first, but gets smoother and sherry-like with the time. Very good.

0.33l bottle. Hazy orangish brown body, off-white head with huge chunks of floating sediments. Aroma of caramel, bread, candi sugar, plums and pepper. Taste of caramel, candi sugar, reisins and some floral hops. Very nice.

330ml bottle. Dark amber copper color with beige head. Sweet malty fruity aroma, caramel, light yeasty spicy. Sweet and light bitter taste. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.
