Bottle at Rilesters flat, cheers Steve, 22/10/14. Clear chestnut brown with a decent beige covering. Nose carries roasted tones, toffee, dark fruit notes, fruit cake, light booze fumes, treacle toffee. Taste comprises malt loaf, dark fruit rinds, spice, toffee, light cocoa rub. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with sweet licks and warming alcohol. Solid Quad, doesn’t get too hot or cloying.

Belgian-style barley wine with thin white head and deep coppery amber colour, hazy; rich bouquet as a good barley wine should have, sweet and candied, vinous, candied cherries, pepper, ginger, honey, liqueur, citrus peel, full, sweet, even sugary and spicy palate with long, dry, warming liqueurish and herbal finish. Great sipper and so far the best in this series I tasted.

Botella de 33 cl en Mérida en octubre de 2010. sabores intensos maltosos y ligeramente dulces como buena cuadruple belga. Cuerpo medio con 11.5 vol que le aportan una buena sensación alcohólica. Buena.

0,33L bottle, BB 01.2017. Shared by suurjuust, thanks! Pours hazy copper-brown with light tan head. The head stays. Aroma is sweet, caramel, malt, with some dark fruits. Flavor is sweet, caramel, dark fruits, and some alcohol. Finish is hoppy bitter. Overall: the alcohol is a little bit too noticeable, but otherwise nice brew.

Hazy dark red copper color, small though nice foamy beige head, reduces after a while to thin layer, good lacing. Complex aroma of roasted malts, brown sugar, toffee, fruit syrup, raisins, some coffee, some alcohol, hint of cinnamon. Taste is light light heavy sweet, slightly bitter, roasted, spicy. Full-bodied, creamy texture, spicy on the tongue, full bittersweet finish, alcoholic notes.
