Rook & Vuur is a subtle balance between smoke, chocolate and chili peppers. Although it has a large complexity it is still surprisingly easy to drink. Try combining this beer with a young Gouda cheese and treat yourself. Flavor indication: Chocolate, chili, smoke Translates as Smoke & Fire

Dark brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of smoke, iodine and licorice. Sweet licorice flavour, slightly on the cloying side, with some smoke and a roasted finish and a faint hint of chili warmth. Lacking in harmony

From tap at MikkellerBar. Pours dark brown to black with a small off white to chocolate brown head. Aroma smoked and dark chocolate. Mild acidic and fruity. Lingering smoked and dark malty. Light ashtray-ish and smoked into a lingering fruity finish.

Draft. A pitch black beer with a beutiful huge creamy dark brown head. The aroma has notes burnt wood, roasted malt, dextrose, and hints of chocolate. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of tar to start off, then comes medium notes of roasted malt, dextrose, dark bitter chocolate, and wood, leading to a very dry, roasted and bitter finish, where a note of cocoa appears. The chili tickles the mouth. Iām not fond of the dextrpse note.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of Plovmand. Pours a reddish brown with a small and dissipating light brown head. Aroma is almost entirely iodine. Medium body, overcarbonated, hard roast malts, chocolate and loads of iodine. Malt bitter finish. Not my thing. 140810
