The Hero:

The city has never been this safe before. Captain Psykick, the city's guardian, earned his people's trust when he single-handedly prevented two waves of nearly eighty attacks from the evil Strong Man tribe with his unique superpowers.

In his sleep, he crawls the minds of lurking villains and gets them to binge watch the most addictive TV series so they would naturally waste their lives away.

In preparation of the next villain soul sucker - the World Cup, Captain Psykick decides to supercharge it by brewing this crushable Siesta Lager to keep the evil minded tardy and basically useless.

The Beer:

Captain Psykick Siesta Lager is a dry hopped American Pilsner with clean malt characters that you can easily crush one after another.

Classic pilsner malt, combining with the lagering process, gives the beer its clean and smooth mouthfeel. The beer is dry hopped with selected American hops, which give a soft classic citrusy aroma, and a dry and crisp finish with a firm but tamed hop bitterness.

330ml can from Monster and Beer, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. Poured a slightly hazy golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head and plenty of bubbles. The aroma is grainy lager malt, lemon lime citrus hops. The flavour is moderate bitter and sweet, with a super fresh, crisp, juicy citrus, light pepper spice, light floral, dry hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average to lively carbonation. Tasty and refreshing. Very sessionable in a hot climate.

Some light citrus but not a lot here. Crisp finish. Pours golden with really good head. Tap at Kowloon Taproom.

On tap at Kowloon Taproom, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma is very dank for a lager, with pot-like hops, some grass, and biscuity malt. Flavour Ian very nice oily and dank, with grassy notes, a bit of tart stone fruits, and biscuity malt. Dank and grassy, almost tart. Strange one. It's a good attempt but not quite dialed in properly.

Bready with some citrus. Clear pale gold with a decent white head. Bitter and some citrus peel. Very hoppy for a lager.

Can from Brewcraft at home. Deep - surprisingly deep - copper amber pour with fine bubbly white lager head. Aroma is clean but full flavored lager with some mild zesty spice. Taste is full bready malt with light crisp bitterness and a bit of chili spice on the finish. Not bad but a bit less light and refreshing than I’d hoped. Full flavored though and the spice is a nice surprise.
