This top-fermented dark beer is brewed with roasted malts. The secondary fermentation in the bottle gives it its powerful and pleasant character. Reddish-brown with a creamy and persistent head. The nose is quite complex, powerful and full-bodied with earthy notes of old wood. First aromas are powerful (alcohol), spicy (wood) yet always well balanced, leading up to a pleasantly caramelised finish. The round mouthfeel and roasted malty flavour reinforce the aromas of coffee and toffee (molasses and caramelised butter). Its dark colour and warm strength make Waterloo Double Dark a delicious beer!

Bière 75 cl reçue en cadeau à Pâques. Couleur brun marron moyen, rousse en transparence, clarté nette. Mousse beige foncé. Carbonatation moyenne. Arômes de chocolat noir, sucre de canne, banane, prunes. En bouche, malt brun, sucre de canne. Pas mal sans être extra, un peu industrielle.

Huge thanks to Erzengel for sharing! Beer in the glass light brown, small head. Fruity malty aroma. Starts malty and sweet, light hints of apple, more and more dry. Finish well balanced. Still dry malty. Okay.

Tasting @ Koelschtrinker's place. Smooth and malty beginning. Easy to drink, not very deep. Malty caramel, very smooth and refreshing with a nice caramelly back. Deep and refershing and sessionable.
