Deep inside the Revelstoke dam lies a Powerhouse – the machine that creates power using gravity and water. It’s a part of Revelstoke history and the inspiration behind this English style pale ale. A generous portion of lightly roasted malt gives this beer a smooth yet distinctive character. A surge of great taste with every sip.

Another pale ale that comes up very short in the hops department. Dark amber pour, not very pale ale like. Aroma of sweet caramel malts, and some light nuts. Flavor was mealy, and nutty, with a sweet finish. Not hops to be found.

Medium clear copper body and modest foam. Soft caramel aroma maybe, even in the macro world this thing's aroma is weak. Taste is biscuit mostly, slight cornbread, but all too faint. Its only saving grace is some carbonation, or maybe that it's cheap.

On tap at Mt Begbie, pours a clear amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is quite malty, with bready malt and barely any hop content. Flavour is balanced between the malts and hops, being more characterized by bready malt and toasted caramel. A little bit of bittering hops to balance. Not too interesting.

This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a mostly clear amber color with a slim white head that just capped the top of the pint glass. A basic film glossed the top of the beer. Light carbonation was seen rising to the top.
The smell had a huge roasty caramel aroma over top of a light \"soapy\" English-like flavor.
The taste copied the aroma and gave off a light sweet malty soapy aftertaste. A quick sweet semi-watery finish accompanies the aftertaste.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. The carbonation seemed okay.
Overall, I say this was a good English Pale ale I could have again and with some fish n’ chips if I would find again.

Draught at Burgoo on 10th Ave W, Vancouver, as “Burgoo Brew” house ale
Light amber color, with creamy head. Aroma of biscuits, malt, cereals. Dry mouthfeel, with a decent grainy caramel flavor and ordinary bitterness.
Pleasant, with a personal touch.

Bottled (shared by brunnsbe, thanks!). Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is honey, some sweet malts, fruits as well as some mild floral hops. Flavour is quitr the same with caramel malts and some mild herbal notes.

Light fruity and salty finish-moreish Old rating: 7 4 8 3 14 Bottle. Very caramelly/butterscotch aroma. Nice chestnut colour, low head. Light chocolaty flavor, stron caramel, light roast. Good body, slightly sticky mouthfeel. Is this really a pale ale?

Quiet heavily toffeeish accented, but lacking any real balance or depth. One of their weaker brews.

Amber with thin beige head. Good barley nose.Rather bland and thin malt flavor with scant hops, certainly not enough for a pale.
