Originally brewed in 2019 Vibrant Things was the seasonal cousin to Simple and Shiny Things.
We wanted something crushable and fruit forward while still tasting like a beer first. So, we decided to use a popular Indian spice called Amchur which is dried green mango.
This tropical tartness combines with Voss Kveik yeast, a Norwegian strain known for its orange-citrus qualities. Late additions of Mosaic and Mandarina Bavaria hops add berry, current, sweet fruit, and citrus notes to this “built for summer” beer.
The grain bill uses Superior Pilsner malt along with Golden Naked Oats, Wheat, and flaked Rye. Soft, pillowy, and 4.8%.
Vibrant Things was our biggest seller the year it was first released and then again in the summer of 2020 and 2021.
It’s the first beer that gets added to our softball team’s cooler and we hope you add it to yours!

Lots of citrus here. A little slight hint of vinegar, pickle like. Golden pour with good head and lacing. Tangy finish. Tap at CRAFT in English Bay.

473mL can, pours a cloudy bright golden with a small white head. Aroma is very juicy and tropical, with subtle citrus hops and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is super juicy, with lots of the mango showcasing upfront, some pith, and bitter citrus rind. Juicy yet dry. Really drinkable. Very good.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Cloudy to murky blond colour. Nice pale ale, off dry but smooth, with some yeast character, lightly funky, and an interesting character of weeds, of fields, hay, even light manure. The finish is a bit harsh and astringent.
Original, quite pleasant.

Can. Hazy, colour is a bit dull. Thin head. This has a bright orangey aroma. On the palate, a bit duller, with a low bitterness. I'm not sure I get the green mango, I imagine the citrusy notes are hop-driven, and the malt underneath is fairly dull. Kind of falls flat for me.

Smells like tomato sauce, seriously pizza or spaghetti sauze. Has an okay cloudy yellow body with modest head. Flavour is tomato paste on rye grain with soft hops. Crisp mouthfeel. Unique, not bad, kind of drinkable.
