Bottle at chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig ’11. It pours opaque black, with a thin tan lace and low carbonation. The nose is caramel, tar, molasses, treacle, toffee and dirt. The taste is caramel, toffee, tar, molasses, chocolate, treacle, raisin, currant, wood, charcoal, smoke and leather, with a dry finish. It’s packed full of flavour for the alcohol percentage. Nice.

Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is acidic with notes of roasted malt and chocolate. The flavor is acidic malty combined with notes of roasted malt and chocolate. Another bottled conditioned beer gone bad - what is it with this bottled conditioning of low ABV beers - it doesn’t work! Thanks fonefan for sharing.

Thanks to beerbill for sharing - this beer is all sorts of f-ed up - the aroma and flavor are semi-sour and fruity, with a lot of diacetyl, particularly through the middle - some doughy character in there as well - notes of sour cherry and light, lingering tartness - buttery finish - is this supposed to taste like this?

Bottle, thx to fonefan. It serves a clear, deep ruby body with a small beige head. Coffee and roasted malt on the nose with butterscotch as well. Slightly sourish flavor with bonfire and charcoal, as well as roasted malt, coffee and butterscotch. Medium to full body and a charcoal-ish finish with some sweetness. Way too dry and charcoal-ish, quite uninteresting I think. (080823)

Bottle, 4.5%. Quite creamy aroma, probably also roasted. The flavour has as much creaminess, but there is also some acidity from the malt. Gets very sour after some sips.
