2019 bottle purchased from the HotD website - pours a turbid amber with minimal carbonation - looks still - nose is rich fig, bourbon, oak, sherry/oxidation, treacle, brown sugar - approach is quite sweet and then gets semi-dry and earthy on the tail end, with some peat/scotch notes - fig, bourbon, treacle, brined cherry - warming finish - really light funkiness - heavier on the oxidation than I was expecting, so I would say this one is slightly past it’s prime, but still good.

Aromas are dark malt, roast, dark ripe fruit, caramel, vanilla and a hint of whiskey. Flavors are like nose, very rich and full, a bit more sweet than bitter. Long finish follows flavors.

Flaska från Bier Bazaar, 2019. Grumlig rostbrun vätska med khaki-färgad skumpuck. Kryddigt, kolaremmar, Bourbon, trä, syltad ingefära, lite zestigt, lite Cognacs-toner, varma päron. Snyggt och gott.

A dark brown beer, a head is small and beige. Aroma has strong maltyness, caramel, raisin, also other dried frutis, light barrel and vanilla. Taste has strong maltyness, caramel, dry barrel, bourbon, raisin. Full bodied, not stickyness. Not so good as brilliant normal-Fred, the barreling is quite strong. Tasteful, anyway.

(Bottle, 0.355 l - 2019 vintage, thanks VastActiv, at Arde, 20220114) The beer poured brown and cloudy. Its head was small and white. Aroma had malts, caramel, wood and vanilla. Palate was full bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, wood, vanilla, vineousness, earth and bitterness. Aftertaste was woody, malty and bitter. A delicious malty brew with woody notes.

35,5 cl bottle vintage 2019 @ St. Mary's Tasting Aroma is odd with peaches and apricot. Also alcohol. Flavour has apricot, ripe fruits and alcohol. Bourbon is hardly evident. Rather sweet, drinkability suffers.

Bottle. Pours a murky amber brown with a tan head that dissipates quickly and completely. Aroma has a nice bourbon and dark grain note with some earthy bread and just a hint of caramel coming through. Flavor has a great bourbon and bread combination with hints of toffee and caramel supporting.
