Aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate, coffee, wood, gin, some vanilla. Flavour is roasty, moderate sweetness, with some bitterness in the finish. Well done Kompaan.

Bottle. Almost black. Roast, chocolate, caramel and soy sauce in the aroma. Vanilla. Chocolate, caramel, soy sauce and genever in the flavor. Alcohol. Complex, warming and delicious.

At a tasting, thanks, smallish head, very dark brown color with just a reddish hue, toast aroma, some vanila, dark bread and a light nuttiness, dark bread flavor with hints of soy, charred notes, vanila and dark chocolate, quite sweet, light to medium bitterness, Nice and enjoyable.

Bottle sample at a tasting at kerenmk’s place. Thanks avrashi. Black. Aroma is somewhat boozy, with dark fruits, chocolate, wood, a bit of vanilla, and a bit of smokiness. Bittersweetish flavor, a bit umami, with chocolate, dark fruits, a bit of soy sauce, wood, a bit of smokiness. Full-bodied, rounded. Very nice.

Bottle 330ml. [ As Kompaan 39 Bloedbroeder (Filliers BA) ].Clear dark red brown color with a small small, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark malt, wood, smoke, barrel. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, dark malt, dark fruit, wood, roasted, sweet malt, smoke. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20151121]
