Tonight’s live review, this was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a hazy golden yellow color. Though hazy, I could see extremely light streams of carbonation seen rising at a nice pace. Lacing was kind of all over the place.
The smell had a slight yeasty/doughiness up front and lets in a tad of light black pepper and then a light lemon.
The taste was moderately sweet but bready backed up by a nice spice from the black pepper.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body. Sessionability was slightly there. The carbonation seems to be fairly subdued and it rolled across my tongue in a nice peppery doughy way.
Overall, this was a good saison I’d have again.

Bottle bought @ bierkompass.de. Pours very hazy yellow with a frothy white head that leaves some sticky lacing on the glass while dissipating. Smell is slightly subtle, tiny fruity and slightly funky with wheat crackers, pineapple, star fruit, barnyard, hay, dry soil, white pepper corns and lemon zest. Taste is slightly sour, slightly bitter, tiny fruity and floral with wheat crackers, lemon juice, unripe pineapple, passion fruit, hay, dry soil, lemon zest and hints if band aids. Mouthfeel is crisp, dry, sparkling, tiny tart and light bodied. Finish is tiny sour, slightly bitter, floral and phenolic with crackers, unripe pineapple, dry soil, hay, white pepper corns, lemon zest and hints if bandaids. Good but slightly too heavy on the band aid phenols.

Bottle. Gold with a large white head. Aroma of sweet and sour oranges, pepper, a little apricot. Hay and some stone fruit sweetness, a bare touch of dough. Fair bit orange with mingles with a lick of sourness. Dry, moderately spicy and bitter finish. Better drunk without the sediment. Good.

12 oz. bottle, thanks to treebute. Pours a pale, hazy yellow, with a big, foamy, white head. The aroma is straw, barnyard funk, leather, orange peels, sourdough, and cloves. Sweet and doughy, with a strong, earthy, resinous bitterness. Light to medium body, sticky, and clingy. Overall, this is a hoppy, flavorful, and agressive saison, Overhopped, like so many American saisons, but not in a bad way.
