Cask gravity at St Albans BF 2010. Clear brown/copper colour. Fruity syrupy aroma. That is a pretty good beer. Love the peppery hop. Just so lovely and drinkable. Love the hop. Wonderful sweetness.

Cask@Barrow Boy And Banker, London. Copper colour, mediumsized creamy beige head. Aroma is toffee, caramelmalts, some grass and mild alcoholic notes as well. Flavour is quite much the same as well as some raisiny and plummy notes. Alcohol gives the beer a quite full body and also gives some warming notes in the finish.

Cask @ National Winter Ales Festival 2009. A hazy amber beer with a bubbly orangey head. The aroma has notes of malt, alcohol, caramel, and lots of fruit. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of caramel and toffee as well as medium notes of over ripe fruits and lots of malt. Nice body.

(Cask at White Horse, Parsonโ€™s Green, London, 29 Nov 2009) Reddish amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of dried fruit, caramel, toffee, orange peel and treacle. Malty taste with caramel, toffee and orange peel. Malty, sweet finish with a vinous and warming touch of alcohol. Full body, fairly sweet. Nice one, more complex than the bottled version.

Cask, Gravity at Banbury Beer Festival, Oxon, 08-05-09 Pours deep amber maybe even chesnut in colour. Rich and malty aroma but also a little boozy. The taste follows the aroma perfectly, but this had a surprisingly bitter aftertaste, the sweetness which is always there is totally counterbalanced by the bitterness, great stuff. Cask in The Sanctuary (Fullers pub) in central London this week. Lovely ruby colour, small head. Warming, comforting and smooth with a sweet caramel taste. Unusual to see this on cask but always a nice treat. I have been drinking this beer for many years in bottled form but the cask version is much better in my opinion.

Half pint from cask served in a brandy glass at The White Horse, Parsons Green in London. Deep red-brown body. Missing head. Sweet cherry-like aroma. A full bodied ale with dried and dark fruits and a rounded bitter aftertaste with a warming alcohol tingle. According to the Fullers advertisement this beer has been called โ€œThe Cognac of Beersโ€ by Michael Jackson (rip) and it is certainly a solid drink in every aspect (18.03.2008).
