This was Gin Bourbon Barrel and the person working the bar was certain this was the only one they'd done. I'm not entirely sold. Pale gold.  Not much head.  Big floral juniper aroma, there’s also a rootbeerish vanilla note. The barrels cover up an underattenuated, bland base beer.  


On tap at Sooke, pours a cloudy bright yellowish blonde with a small white head. Aroma is full of lively, floral gin upfront, with lots of botanicals - saison elements are undetectable to me. Flavour is a little less bright, with lots of floral notes, some botanicals, and gentle saison yeast further back. No bourbon character whatsoever. It's a fun experiment, but not a good beer really.

Lots of lemon and botanicals. Cloudy yellow with a small white head. Herbal and botanical with some light lemon.
