Bottle from the brewery. Cloudy copper pour, with a small, bubble white head. Aroma is very lactic, very tart, with a distinct nutty aroma, woody, and earthy with hints of an oddly place herbal, mint. Mouth feel is watery, and the carb is basically flat. The finish is earthy, and sharp. Woody, and the barrel dominates the end. Not as complex as you'd thing from the description. Maple syrup is nowhere to be found, light nuttiness in the aroma and the barrel dominates the finish with an earthy woodiness mixed with a medium tartness.

A hazed amber ale with a thick light mocha head. In aroma, nice lightly tart lemon with Epsom salts, light Brett and sweetness. In mouth, a nice tart mix of lemon, Brett and light woody notes, very nice. Bottle from 2018.

Got in a BIF from Coronaeus. 375 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled in 9/2018. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy medium golden amber color with a 3 finger dense and fluffy off white head with amazing retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Amazing appearance. Aromas of big tart/sour lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, melon, apricot, red/green apple, white grape/wine, peppercorn, pecans, bourbon, coconut, toasted oak, hay, straw, grass, maple syrup, wheat, cracker, and white bread; with lighter notes of oaken vanilla, leathery/musty/lacto funk, white wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/funky/acidic/spicy yeast, pecans, maple syrup, bourbon barrels, and light-moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart/sour lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, melon, apricot, red/green apple, white grape/wine, peppercorn, pecans, bourbon, coconut, toasted oak, hay, straw, grass, maple syrup, wheat, cracker, and white bread; with lighter notes of oaken vanilla, leathery/musty/lacto funk, white wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Moderate peppery yeast/oak tannin spiciness, and lactic tart/tang/sourness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/sour lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, melon, apricot, red/green apple, white grape/wine, peppercorn, pecans, bourbon, coconut, toasted oak, hay, straw, grass, maple syrup, wheat, cracker, white bread, leathery/musty/lacto funk, white wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Amazing complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic/spicy yeast, pecans, maple syrup, bourbon barrels, and light-moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; with a great malt, tart, sour, tangy, spiciness balance; with minimal puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Moderately crisp/clean finishing. Moderate increasing dryness from lingering tart/sourness, yeast/oak spiciness, and carbonation. High carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth and moderately grainy/acidic/tangy/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 7.5%. Overall this is an amazing flavored wild/sour saison! All around incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic/spicy yeast, pecans, maple syrup, bourbon barrels, and light-moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and easy to drink with the moderately spicy/acidic/drying finish; not overly lactic. Amazingly well rounded Brett/Bacteria/Saison yeast complexity; with great maple syrup, pecan, and bourbon barrel presence/integration; and solid pale/wheat malts against acidity. Zero residual sweetness with crisp carbonated dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazing experimental style example. Not overwhelming on any aspect.

Soured caramel. Cloudy copper gold with a small white. Sweet and sour maple notes with light barrel notes. Soured maple is definitely interesting.
