Bottle shared by Gurthnar, many thanks. Very dark brown color with medium beige head. Roasted malt, raisins, caramel, dark chocolate. Taste, roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, dark berries, caramel. Sweet caramel finish. Good.

Grundsätzlich halte ich ja nichts von Bieren, welchen Zucker zugesetzt wurde -schon gar keine, die sich als Porter bezeichnen (wie dieses Bier). Aber das Taddy Porter schafft es trotzdem, dass ich es mag. Die süßen Karamellaromen sind schön mit den Röstaromen verknüpft und auch ein bisschen Hopfen dient der Symbiose der Geschmäcker. Außerdem erhält das Bier so einen eigenen geschmacklichen Charakter. Auch die relativ leichte Verfügbarkeit auch außerhalb der Insel sehe ich positiv.

dark brown, almost black color, filtered. coffee colored head, desolves rather quickly. smelly of roasted malt, coffee, maple, a bit smokey. medium body, tastes of chocolate and a subtly smokey taste. subtle coffee bitterness

0,355 l bottle from Kaufhof. Pitch-black with a thick, foamy, stable, tan head. Aroma of dark chocolate and coffee with vinous notes in the end. Not very intense though. Taste of dark roasted malts, chocolate, coffee and licorice. Nice. Medium to full body, creamy mouthfeel, short, light bitter finish. Overall a good beer which lacks a bit of intensity. Considering it has just 5 % ABV, it is relatively complex.

550 ml bottle. Translucent dark brown colour. Wonderful tan soufflé-like head. Rich bready, treacle and nutty malt aroma. Notes of Worcestershire and herbal hops. Smooth and roasty with a earthy, sweet malt component. Brown sugar and dried fruit come through as well. This is sublime and very drinkable. A world class porter and a must have.

Bottle. Dark brown body with ruby highlights and a beige head. Faint lacing. Aroma of treacle, toffee, salted caramel and a hint of red wine. Flavour of rust, brown sugar, cranberries and dark chocolate. Thin to medium body with a slick texture. Straightforward and well balanced.

Goes down smooth and tastes like the epitome of what a porter is supposed to taste like outside all the innovation. Pours black with good mocha head and lacing. Dark chocolate and light roast. Creamy texture. Light sour mash finish and a small dose of bitterness. Bottle from Chevy chase.

Very dark color, with a nice creamy brown head. Smell is roasted, with coffee and chocolate notes. Taste also, it reveals also licorice, malt is predominant. Also some sourness, but very little. Medium bodied, low carbonation, good texture. Good beer.

550ml bottle from Beer Central, Sheffield - Cloudy almost black color with large creamy light brown head which doesn’t last too long. Aroma of caramel, roasted malt, nuts, chocolate, some toast, and a touch of liquorice. Taste is rather delicate for a porter. mostly malty with loads of bread, some dough, and chocolate. Medium bodied mouthfeel, creamy texture, and soft carbonation. Really nice and enjoyed this loads.

Botella de 35.5 cl en el lúpulo en octubre de 2012. color negro con sabores y aromas ligeros de maltas tostados con cacao y algo de café. Cuerpo medio con 5 vol. Buena en general aunque un poco falta de mayor densidad y sabores mas intensos.
