Bottle from Yamaichi, a dark black pour with a thick creamy tan head into a snifter that leaves minimal lacing behind. The aroma is umami, chocolate and a herbal note almost mint like or peppery quite intriguing. Nice creamy silky full body & mouthfeel. The taste is roasty, milk chocolate with that same peppery quality & a touch of soy. Some warming, all in all a well made beer from Brewfist.

Bottle from Yamaichi. Lovely thick tan head aboard a pitch black, shiny beer. rich chocolate malts, lots of umami and a bit of soy, plus some oysters. A touch of fruity hops. Nicely fruity, chocolate and coffee, light soy. Rich and lots of umami for sure. Very thick and full. Lightly roasty. Some citrus. A bit too thick and heavy, but good.

200ml poured from tap at Mikkeller Bar, Viktoriagade. Shared with Skinnyviking. Pitch black with a deep rustic shade. Faint amount of tan-coloured foam. Good lacework to the glassware. Creamy chocolate on the nose, mid-dry and mid-sweet. Vanilla, chocolate, nuts and anise flavours. Roasted dark malty ending, lingering down the swallow. Well bodied and well made porter. Another good one from the brewery (Copenhagen 08.12.2013).

På fat. Smak och doft av choklad, kaffe, karamell, torkad frukt med toner av laktris. Krämig, rund och len med tydlig beska. Riktigt bra.

Draft. A black beer with a thin dark brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, bread. Alcohol, and chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, alcohol, and chocolate, leading to a dry roasted finish.

Bottle from Birra ed oltre, Naples
Dark, almost opaque brown color, small off-white head. Milky, toasted, a bit ashy and licoricey aroma. Medium-bodied. Flavor has almost burned dark malts, bitterness, coffee and alcohol. Slightly tarry, perhaps a bit milk stouty too. Quite strong and intensive porter but more on malty than hoppy side.
