La nostra porter è eccezionalmente forte, con ampie sfumature di legno affumicato e cioccolato e una struttura cremosa e riscaldante. Impenetrabile e pericolosa, eppure impossibile da resistere.

Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, nr Gent, Belgie, consumed at home Sunday 8th September 2013 Pours dark brown with large beige head. Aroma is milky coffee, molasses and treacle, there is also an underlying smokiness on the nose although Loz’s joss-stick might be affecting my smell a little. Taste is initially black treacle but then the milky coffee comes through, you can taste the strength, mmhh... fine and even good but not as good as the Lambeth Walk porter from By The Horns that I’ve just had. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

Black with a brown head - roasted malt aroma - roasted malt body with some bitterness - roasted malt goes into the finish - this was good

Draft at the Local Taphouse in Sydney. Pretty much black color, off white or tan head. Aroma of unsweetened cocoa. Taste is nice coffee and pure cacao. Great body.

On draft at Churchkey DC. Pours cola brown with a tan head. Chocolate and coffee nose. Flavors of cocoa and roasted nuts. Smooth and mellow mouthfeel.. Tasty.

Very dark brown with medium beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee and liquorice. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, liquorice, little sweet and medium bitter.

On tap @ Amudsen. This is a deep dark as good as black in the glass-one with a small dark brown light lacing top. Really smoky on the nose! Lots of chocolate and cocoa also. Really smoked this(?), did not expect it to punch me in the face like this. Well, a punch is perhaps exaggerating a bit. Licorice and dark roasted malts also. Smells interesting and it taste quite interesting also. Again, the amount of smoke was quite present, only in a more alcoholic way. Lots of liquid licorice and chocolate. Thick and chewy on the mouthfeel with a soft light prickling carbonation level. It's slightly spicy as well. Feels like in drinking a dark hole in a way. Not sure if it enjoying the smoke as I should enjoy it, but it's a flavorful beer this. 24.05.2013

A black beer with a weak and an almost disappering and light brown head. Aroma is tastefull, complex and balanced, roastiness, chocolate, liquirice, coffee and some lactose. Taste is also balanced, roastiness and coffee, some liquirice, nice chocolate in the background, the bitterness dries the mouth. Medium bodied, smooth to drink. Very tastefull beer, enough of complexicity.
