Hazy and pale, with just a thin head. On the nose, lots of peach. On the palate, it is soft, very sweet with peach juice, and the salt is quite noticeable in terms of providing roundness to the palate. Habanero – not surprised that they got a bit shy about that, but I’d at least want a little bit to provide balance to that peach sweetness. I mean that’s one of the hottest mainstream peppers and there’s zero heat in this beer. So it’s not a bad beer, but missing a promised element is definitely not ideal.

Citrus and some saline. Cloudy gold with a small white head. Saline, heat but no taste of the peppers and a long finish. If the peppers had some flavour this would have been more fun.

On tap at the brewery. Yellow clear body, minimal white head. Smells deeply and softly of pine-sol, floral hops at least. Flavour is muddled floral hops with a vague dry grain hint. Okay mouthfeel yet not too exciting. A little too artificial, perfume and beer shouldn't mix.

On tap at Parallel 49, pours a cloudy bright yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out bright peaches, followed by lacto, and a touch of the habanero. Flavour is very bright, with tart peaches, tons of lacto, and lots of habanero character without burning the palate. Not particularly dynamic or integrated. Leaves much to be desired.

Draught at Parallel 49, Vancouver
Cloudy orange-blond colour. The habanero is very mild, a bit earthy and smokey, it pairs well with the salt (very little salt); the peach is not evident, and some fruit would probably have played better with a more acidic beer. Overall, it's just exploitation of the name Gose, it's a refreshing beer with mild acidity/salt/habanero character.
