500ml Bottle - Dark brown, almost black in colour. Chocolate, vinous fruits and liquorice in the aroma. Roasted and chocolatey taste with vinous fruits detected. Nice and tasty.

Bottle from Cotterige Wines, Birmingham. Poured a dark cloudy brown with a thin broken tan head. The aroma is malt and spice. The flavour is bitter, liqourice, chocolate and cognac. The flavour is very complex! A really gorgeous ale!

50cl bottle shared with friends. Thanks JMGreenUK Thick tan head. Clear black pour. Cognac & coffee in the after-taste. A lovely porter.

Bottle shared. Pours dark brown with a bubbly tan head. Aroma of red berries, chocolate, cognac and alcohol. Flavour is over moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.

500ml bottle. Pours black with a large head. Aroma is cognac, marzipan, fruity coffee and a hint of alcohol. Taste is sweet to start. Chocolate and spirit in the finish. Coffee and cognac aftertaste. A little watery.
