Een fris bokbier. De onder gist en de donkere moutsoorten zorgen voor een mooie dropachtige smaak. Het toevoegen van extra hop tijdens de lagering versterkt de hopsmaak en de hopgeur zonder het bier bitterder te maken.

Sample from 33 cl. bottle. Dark brown colour with a huge, fluffy off-white head. Roasted aroma with dark malts, coffee, chocolate, sweet, berry-like fruitiness and caramel malts. Taste is light sweet. Medium body with a creamy texture and a very lively carbonation. As often seen in Dutch beers... Finishes drying and sweet fruity with roasted notes. An odd Bock...

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a very dark brown with an almost aggressive, rough, beige head with good retention. Burned caramel in the nose, some dark dried fruits. Medium body, overly carbonated - you’ll be burping your way through. A little roast, a little caramel. Some roasty bitterness in the finish. Poor.

Decent bok beer, better than the big commercial bocks. Still, it’s quite ordinary.

Bottled, dated 12-09-2012 batch 201220825, large sample. Slight hazy dark brown color, short light brown head. Aroma of bready malt, hint of dark chocolate and coffee, hint of raisin, slight nutty. Bit sweet in taste, bit bitter mostly from the malts, slight hint of sourness (lactic acid). Quite dry in the finish actually, although it feels full bodied. Decent bock.

330ml bottle. Almost black colour with weak ruby red glowing in the dimple of the glas and average to huge, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, beige to tan head. Slightly roasty, dark malty aroma with chocolate notes and hints of red berries, a touch of plum. Taste is dry, roasty dark malty, minimally chocolately and fruity, bothersome dry, chalky overtones; with those overtones fading away a nice but cautious coffee finish remains, slightly too lively carbonation throughout.
