Brewed with Pilsner malt and wheat (flaked, malted and raw), and hopped lightly with Calypso hops. Soured with lacto plantarum, and fermented in foedre with an assortment of saccharomyces and brettanomyces yeast cultures. After conditioning in foedre for 4 months, we added 150kg of blood orange puree, as well as some tonka beans.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Orange-red colour, cloudy, the head dissipates quickly. The aroma is grapey, nice. The body is wrak, hence the acidity becomes quite aggressive, it has a very strong ueast, dough flavour, some citrus fruit; at first I could pick an earthy note (the Tonka?), but not further on.
Weird concept, I can't say it's well executed either.

Tall can at Alex's. Appearance: reddish copper with no head Aroma: sweet cherries and some berries Taste: moderately acidic with cherries and some other berries along with a bit weird malty character Overall: not bad

Soured red berry notes. Cloudy pink with a decent beige head. Soured red berries with a hard candy note.

There's a lot of hibiscus on the aroma, along with raspberries. Kind of neat - totally not the ingredients that are on the label. Light tartness, with a berryish character, still not getting blood orange and tonka bean, but it's neat, I like it.

473mL can, pours a cloudy dark pink with a tiny white head. Aroma brings out a surprisingly cohesive mix of blood oranges, vanilla beans, and lacto-y tartness. Flavour matches this impression, with blood oranges and lacto upfront, with a slight accentuation from the tonka beans. Surprisingly cohesive and refreshing. Good stuff.
