Bottle from The Gull, North Vancouver
Black colour. Mild arom aof roasted malt and chocolate. Smooth mouthfeel, good chocolate flavour, bready too, with a touch of vanilla and spirit; it reminds me of a liquor filled chocolate.
Good.

Dark brown. Not much head. There's a little bit of toffee on the nose, light chocolate, and a fair bit of bourbony barrel stuff. A balanced alcohol and chocolate character. Lightish body, some alcohol in the finish with a fairly pronounced bourbon note. It's not bad - certainly nothing special, but it's perfectly drinkable.

650mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Nose brings out lots wood, with a touch of bourbon, light vanilla, and a touch of roasted malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with rich bourbon, some wood, gentle vanilla, and very soft roasted malt. Not overly rich or complex, but the flavours are well-integrated. Very solid.
