When 8 Wired does fruited sours, it's always a good idea to pay attention. This Hendrix inspired Kettle Sour is fermented on apricots and has a lovely dose of Riwaka hops. Brewed for #GABS2018.

Bottle. Hazy yellow pour, small white head. Tart, lactic aroma, light stone fruit and hints of lemon zest.. Watery mouth feel, soft carb. Finish is tart, fruit falls off and leaves just tart wheat and lactic notes.

Draft. A hazy golden beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of brett, fruits, and malt. The flavor is sour with notes of fruits, brettanomyces, lemons, and malt, leading to a tart finish.

Very pale colour, hazy. The aroma is lightly lemony, the flavour seems to be just a bit lemony too, with dry and weak mouthfeel. Apricot? Not really.

Soured funky feet and stone fruit. Cloudy yellow with a decent white head. Light lemon and a simple finish. The nose says complex, but the flavour is very simple.

Hazy, very pale. Not much head. I like the bright apricot notes, the bretty tartness. Light on the palate, touch of yeast, nice apricot...nice complexity.
