When 8 Wired does fruited sours, it's always a good idea to pay attention. This Hendrix inspired Kettle Sour is fermented on apricots and has a lovely dose of Riwaka hops. Brewed for #GABS2018.

330ml bottle. (4.5% ABV) Pours a hazy straw colour with a thin, fizzy, short lived, white head that leaves spotty lacing. Mild aroma of grainy wheat malt, sour apricot and floral hops. Sweet flavour of bready wheat malt, lactose, apricot and floral hops in a dry, tart finish. Light body with a watery texture and average carbonation. A little too subtle, but refreshing and easy drinking.

GABS Auckland 2018. Pours very pale. Nectarine, apricot, citric acidity, touch of bready malt. Spritzy body. Good kettle sour.
