Dark brown. Thick head. Light roasty nose with a touch of chocolate. Soft body. The coffee is kind of harsh and I think there's diacetyl in there, too. Not a good look.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Black colour with large beige head. Coffee aroma, fresh. Soft mouthfeel, it has a good dark chocolate flavour, and coffee, like a coffee truffle, roasty in the finish; a bit ashy in the end.
Very good.

On tap at 12 Kings, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings a very pleasant fresh cup of coffee upfront, with a solid toasted malt providing foundation. Flavour is very similar, but with an added layer of sweetness to complement - notes of coffee, lactose and toasted malt are evident. Very nice coffee character here. Very good.
