Tap at KBC, Den Bosch: Almost golden Meibok, with some citric taste in it. One of the better ones in the Netherlands.

Bottle, bought at the brewery. Golden color with a touch of pink, steady head. Slightly flowery, citric, somewhat sulphury aroma. Almost dry, medium to full bodied. Flowery, biscuity and citric flavor. A firm hopbitterness. Light hopbitter, somewhat yeasty aftertaste. A firm maibock in the best Bavarian tradition. A later brew, tasted straight from the lagertank promised to be even better. The 2008 version, tasted from the lagertank is spiced with Czech hops, and has a firm grassy citric hopbitterness, with 45+ IBU and promised to be a very good German type maibock. A 2008 bottle, tasted in 2010 is still good. Soft flowery aroma. Flowery citric hopbitter flavor. Long hopbitter finish. The hops are still there. Just a touch of alcohol. Just the aroma shows the age of this beer. The 2011 version is extremely well hopped with notes of nutmeg both in aroma and flavor.

Sampled from tap at Meibockfestival Amsterdam 2016. Clear golden yellow with a tan to white head. Sweetish-malty, grainy aroma of caramel, honey, straw and grains. Sweetish-malty, grainy taste of caramel, honey, straw and grains, followed by a short, slightly bitter, grainy finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay.
