Has an amber colour, and is bright. Medium hops, so it's ok, and there's a touch of malt as well. Lightish, but well-balanced.

Draught at the brewery
Dark amber colour, clean, with creamy head. Nice malt and caramel base, with light fruity esters.
Nutty finish.

On tap at Mariner, pours a clear amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out moderate spiciness, toasted bready notes and a hint of caramel. Flavour is quite spicy and bitter, with toasted biscuity malt, spices and astringent bitterness. This isn't very pleasant. Harsh and astringent, without any discernible character.

Pine and some dank notes. Clear copper with a decent white head. Dank, piney and malty. Not bad.

Aroma is soft meatiness with vague grain character. Has an okay white foam on top of an orangey brown body. Flavour is nice heavy maltiness with a strong showing of hops. Medium on the mouth with modest oiliness. This is a nice malty brew but seems to be missing a wintery character.
