Inspired by a Chocolate Orange treat. This dark mild uses cocoa nibs and fresh orange peel for that classic combo we love.

On tap at the brewery. Okay darker brown body and minimal foam. Smells like sweet coffee with a hint of detergent. Flavour is sweet barley and some odd vegetable notes maybe on the back end. Slight sweetness, okay mouthfeel, but overall unmemorable.

473mL can, pours black with a large beige head. Aroma brings out bright orange peel upfront, with some cocoa, and light earthy notes. Flavour is smilar, with lots of orange peel and cocoa nibs upfront, and an earthy backbone. I like the adjuncts in here, especially the orange. It's nothing resembling an authentic mild, but it's decent for what it is.

Draught at the brewery
Dark brown colour. Hint of cocoa, but the flavour is very weak, the body is weak, a bit metallic and dirty in the final, no orange if I didn't know about it, and short final. Not a very good Mild, the adjuncts don't improve it.

Orange and cocoa. Deep brown with a small beige head. Cocoa and only a touch of orange. Ok, but ABV is a bit too high.
