The Helles is our take on the classic German lager style. Crisp and clean, with a flavourful malt backbone. This is an easy drinking lager that any beer lover should enjoy.

Can, Firefly. Slight haze. No head. Moderate bitterness, then it's got a bit of a doughy malt note, touch of alcohol in the finish. The aroma is also pretty doughy - not the right malt note to make a helles work.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Blond, pale, hazy, with large head that disappears quickly. Timid malt notes, bag of cereals, and I may sense a hint of honey too. On the sweet side, although it has enough balance with the bitterness; the malt base has a quite strong character of breakfast cereals, the hopping is rather herbaceous, and there is some wildflower honey flavour too.
Decent beer. Kind of weird for the style though.

Tall can at Brian's. Pours a hazy blonde with a white head. Aroma is malty and some herbal notes. Taste is similar. Meh.

Honey and light grains. Clear gold with a small head. Grainy and honey notes with a light bitterness. Decent.

473mL can, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma is rather herbal, with grassiness, and crisp crackery malt. Flavour is similar, with refreshing herbal and grassy notes, crisp crackery malt, and biscuity notes. Fresh and drinkable. Solid stuff.
